CENTER FOR CHILD ADVOCACY AND LIFE PLANNING

also known as Mentor Volunteers Uganda

"Sponsor a Child" Partnership Program

_________________________________________________________________

CCALP has now expanded to four Districts in rural areas to help orphans and vulnerable children where local people have very limited resources to meet the needs of children.

One of  CCALP's main objectives is to be able to meet our commitments to the children in the Center to look after them until they are in a position to support themselves.  This means that we have an obligation to generate sufficient reserves to meet the funding requirements needed to maintain the Center and look after the welfare of the children.

To enable us to provide services for these vulnerable children, CCALP has started an "Adopt a Child Partnership" program. This provides an opportunity for those interested in supporting this work to take financial responsibility for one or more children on a monthly basis.

We invite you to make a secure MONTHLY RECURRING DONATION that will support the children and projects of CCALP through our collaboration with The Labyrinth Foundation for Disaster Relief (LFDR*).

Our relationship and collaboration with LFDR allows your donation to be tax deductible under relevant U.S. tax codes.  100% of your CCALP designated donation received by LFDR will be, on a monthly basis, wired to CCALP's bank account at a Barclay's Bank in Kampala, Uganda, and used exclusively to support the goals and objectives of the CCALP mission statement.

*LFDR is a tax exempt 501(c)(3) non profit based in the U.S. which strives to improve the living conditions of people and communities worldwide.  For more information about LFDR, visit www.emtuwines.com.

As a convenience to you, and to honor the international nature of our volunteers and contributors, we offer you a handful of currencies within which to make recurring donations, although we do recongize that many currencies are left out of the options at this time.

In most of our Centers, one American Dollar ($1) per day, or $30 per month, will provide the basic, bares bones costs associated with the care necesary for a child at the CCALP. This recurring donation translates into approximately  23 Eurosor 33 Canadian dollarsor 19 Pounds Sterling each month to 'sponsor a child'.  We have set the recurring donation amounts below to match these targets.

You may use a credit card or your own pre-existing PayPal account to get the process started.

Become a Supporter

CCALP is always keen to encourage supporters in a host of ways.  Whether you own a Company and would like to support our charity, whether you are an individual thinking of undertaking a challenge, such as running a marathon and raising funds for a charity, or whether you wish to form a 'supporters' group, we are always delighted and appreciative to receive your contributions to enable us to better take care of our children.

Consider the possibility of committing to a recurring monthly donation to support one or more children at CCALP.

We cannot ignore the plight of these children any more.  It is time to accept our responsibility as a caring community and work to make a positive change in the lives of children.

Every child in Uganda has the right to education, health, equality, safety, and a joyful childhood.
